No. The Red Sox led by 14 1/2 on May 29th, but then slumped while the Yankees got hot, which pretty much cut the lead in half. I don't think the Red Sox will get that huge lead back because there is no way the Yankees will play as badly as they did, or have all the injuries they did earlier in the season. Also, Boston was not going to play .700 ball all season like they did in the first two months, no matter how good they are.

NO WAY. The same thing happened last year. The Yankees are definitely going to win the AL East. The Yankees are hot, A-Rod of course is hot, and the pitching is phenomenal. Clemens did lose against the mets, but only gave up 2 runs.

I don't believe you will see a 15 game lead again this year. The big question will be if the Yankees will actually be able to catch the Red Sox this year.

Keep dreaming buddy. But I can't promise you it will do much. The Sox aren't going to win another World Series until 2090, which even then, is unlikely. My Yankees are gaining fast. We won 9 out of our last 10. We got the hottest bats in the East. A-Rod earned himself another two-run homer, earlier tonight. That's his 27th this season! Johnny Damon got his 4th homer. He seems like a happy DH. Melky is a speed threat, he's young and he's a pretty good batter. Jeter has 2241 hits. He shows zero signs of aging. He's going to die in pinstripes! For goodness sakes, everyone knows he's both a clutch fielder and a clutch hitter. Bobby's breaking out of his slump. I think he doesn't feel as much pressure on himself. Jorge is doing AMAZING this season. With a .347 BA, and his crazy catching abilities, he's sure to go down in Yanks history. Matsui has been pretty consistent. He's sure to be batting above .300 soon enough. And Cairo seems pretty happy in pinstripes. He makes a good 1B. He's young, quick, and also a good hitter. And of course Cano. He has so much potential. I'm hoping he can get above .300 by the end of the season.
While the Yankees climb up the AL East, the Sox go spiralling down. You'll see, we'll be tied for first after the All-Star game. My Yanks got ridiculed by haters this year. And now it's time to prove them wrong!
Say goodbye BoSux!
Yankees Love. <3
LOL Thank you Tim O! I almost forgot the pitching...You're right, Clemens, Wang, and Pettite can keep us alive. Especially with the way they're pitching now. I heard Kei Igawa's coming back, and he learned how to control the ball. I can't wait to see the change-ups everyone's been talking about. Moose will always be an amazing pitcher, but he's aging quick. And I look forward to the return of Phil Hughes. The rookie that (almost) pitched a no-hitter, on his MLB debut! Our bullpen is good. They know what they're doing. If Farnsworth could just learn to control his wild pitches...Wow, I'd go insane! And of course, Mo is our legendary closer. He keeps our games together! I think we're good to go with our pitching, fielding and batting.

I'm an Oriole fan and I know the Red Sox and their lead will fizzle in a matter of 10 days..at some point..
there is no way they go wire to wire..they are looking over their shoulders now...just as you are by asking this type of question
they have too many games in the division to even think they rule the league.

No, if they do win 2.5 games probably. I honestly don't think they will win because Manny the quitter will decide he ate too much sushi when you guys lose fifteen out of twenty and we win fifteen out of twenty. And people like g8advice need to shut up because they don't know anything about baseball. Fifteen over is two weeks of losing. Not going to happen. Sorry.

No, not the way the Yankees are playing right now. Could take the AL East lead by end of July, if not sooner.

They had the chance to finish them off & they didn't get it done. Now unless the Yankees suffer a major collapse that ain't gonna happen.
