Does this change your view on Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Bruce Bowen, etc.? Did this only inforce your opinion that they played a slightly dirty style, or at least overly physical? Will you ever root for the Spurs again?

Did I ever say cheat? No, no you dirty, stupid Spurs fans know you got plenty of lucky breaks. Thats why you thought of that word. You all just proved Suns fans correct. Also, I never said anything about favoring the Suns (I do... but that's not really the point). You all just assumed I was attacking. I was asking for your opinions on it, there was not any sour grapes in the question. What makes me mad is that every Spurs fan feels the need to defend themselves wildly. Thank you, you just proved the cheap, dirty play your Spurs team won with.

Spurs did not win a championship for years with David Robinson and Avery Johnson.
Since Tim Duncan came aboard, the Spurs have won 4 rings. Additions like Ginobilli, Parker, Horry and Bowen have complemented a team affected by the retirements of Robinson and Johnson. The center of the team is the big three - Duncan, Ginobilli and Parker. The Celtics had the big three in Bird, McHale and Johnson. The Lakers had the big three in Johnson, Abdul-Jabbar and Michael Jordan's UNC teammate (the name evades me).
{EDIT} James Worthy - my memory came back to me.

one, Im not a spurs fan...two, I knew the Suns were phony, they got amare back and still couldnt seal the deal, next season theyll have another excuse why they didnt advance to at least the conf finals...three, the league has changed from top to bottom rules wise to accomodate the offensive players, but still good defense wins championships...so yeah, the flashy teams, the warriors, suns, mavs, and heat didnt play nearly well enough to get to the finals...and although im a big fan of west coast run and gun ball...it might probably be the spurs against another horrible slow paced eastern team next year...because...they play good defense...and dont cry how the spurs really won 1 title, with all those ridiculous scenarios...they won, period...and yes, nash flopped like a little girl...and for the poster above, his name was james worthy...

it was getting a bit physical out there with the Suns, but if you want to talk about cheap....lets remember some of that crap that was going down on both sides between the Suns and Lakers the previous season's playoffs. The Spurs series was nowhere near as cheap as some of the stuff pulled back then. The Spurs are a talented team, but if the bad breaks had fallen the other way....Parker gets the bloody nose in game 1 instead of Nash, etc, the Suns could have pulled it out.

I have not, and will not root for the Spurs. The Spurs will down in history as playing dirty street ball. Don't get me wrong, but I am not sore that the Cavs lost, but the fact of the matter is a lot of the Spurs team made dirty plays that were over sought by the ref's. I am glad the Cavs did go to the finals and all, and I think that the future NBA players who look up to the likes of Horry, Duncan, Bowen, etc. will play the same style of basketball, and that is not something to be proud of

What are you talking about??? Spur had a tough road especially Tony Parker. He had to guard AI then Nash, then he had to take on Deron Williams. Im glad he got MVP for finals. Spurs deserved it without a doubt

The Suns series got spoiled because of the ejections, but rules are rules....they obeyed the rules basically so they won fair and square although many will say otherwise (I'm a Mavericks fan)

If they hadn't earned it honestly, they wouldn't have it. The Spurs are not a dirty team. This question has been answered and this complaint proven fallacious time and time again. Why don't you to find something else to whine about?

how many people are going to cry about the spurs?? they won, GET OVER IT. I am no spurs fan, but they were the best team this year. Root for your own teams.... but dont try to downplay the accomplishments of another team.
and how could you say they cheated? first of all... there is no way in hell that the league wanted the SPURS in the finals (as you can see by the tv ratings of the nba finals). second... the spurs didnt make amare stoudimire and diaw come off the bench. they forgot the rule, so they got suspended. it sucked for the suns.... BUT THEY DID IT TO THEMSELVES.
spurs won, get over it

Spurs deserve their 4th championship. Don't make excuses if your team lose. It was their fault why they lose, not Spurs. They are only physical so that's why they were called dirty.

what do you mean they had to cheat? the spurs won 2 games before the "foul". even then, the suns could've easily won game 5, but they slacked off and the spurs caught up and won. and game 6, the suns had all their players and the spurs had horry out and still won. the suns had their opportunities but failed. and no, i don't feel that the spurs didn't deserve to win. they worked very hard this season and during the playoffs. i will always root for the spurs. the spurs earned their 4th ring. don't be sore loosers people. Go Spurs Go!!!
