I guess I come from the old school on this one. Unplug it. I only plug in an appliance when it is in use, then promptly unplug it. You just never know these days!

I keep my toaster plugged in all the time. It supposed to be safe.

I would not leave it plugged in because if lightning would strike at the very least it could destroy your toaster, the worst case scenario is that it could cause a fire. Why risk it?

Oh my god. it somewhat is something I used to combat with my Husband approximately. Oh path I misplaced. i replaced into spoke of unplugging that variety of element and his mum and dad constantly left it plugged in. I nevertheless each from time to time will unplug it. i'm annoying that's going to start up a fireplace interior the night...

why second guess yourself be safe and unplug it,but it is a electrical appliance and if it is working properly it will be alright to leave it plugged in

If the toaster is not being used, it will not draw any current. Think about this.....The wiring in the wall is wired to each outlet and is 'hot' ALL the time....you would never remove the outlet from the wiring because you weren't using it......so why unplugg the toaster?

No dont leave plugged in, outlet can become overheated and start fire inside of wall.
