I think it's a really cute car, but I don't know if its worth $1500 with that many miles on it. Anybody who knows anything about the car, let me know if it's a good deal....

It's a great price. However, 160K isn't too many miles for that car. If it was properly maintained and you continue to properly maintain it, you should be able to get 300K miles out of it!! One thing to consider is that it is the Lexus equivalent for Mazda so parts can get costly to replace and premium fuel is recommended by Mazda for this car. I own a Mazda MPV- it has the same platform as the 929 and make sure that you have the timing belt replaced. Contrary to what books and many mechanics say, it is a non-interference engine. The internal clearance is close, but not close enough to ruin your engine internals if the belt breaks so you don't have to worry about rebuilding the engine if the timing belt does break. You'll just be stranded until you can get it replaced. Still, I think that it was one of the greatest works of art in the auto design realm. Note: The trunk is pretty small in comparison to the size of this car.

Only if it has Mazda service records. This is an extremely expensive car to fix. The engine is a remnant of Japan's DOHC v6 engine wars. It is more complicated than an Infinity J30 and just as expensive to fix. At that mileage everything is going to start breaking soon. If you put the wrong oil in this car, the whole engine shakes - that's how picky it is. I would tell you to get a Millennia before this car - and a Millennia is only one notch better than this car (in terms of repairs and temperment). It's got power and runs great but if you are looking for a deal, look elsewhere.

They last a long time don't let the timing belt break. Loaded with features like sunroof solar panel some models with cooling fans in the trunk to keep air circulating on hot days and reacharge the cars battery 4 wheel independant suspension it was the luxury car in Mazda's line up. Not very cheep to repair

Its worth the price only if when the engine is running you do not hear any tics...and ask for proof of service... most foreign cars if maintained properly are good for at least 215,000 just something to think about !!!
