Hi! I am most likely going to be moving to Tampa area in about a year's time. And I was wondering what is a good area to live in. I will be attending Grad School at USF, so a short commute to there would be ideal. We plan on buying a small home, not renting!

USF campus is nice.
Surrounding Area is not. Crime to the North, south, and west is high. (try and stay away from about a 5 - mile radius) Brandon is a nice area but Over developed. I have to say Hillsborough County is HIGH TAXes all around. The boom is on in Pasco County (just north of Hillsborough) Taxes are quite a bit less. It is still growing and in a year you will find it quite developed. Anywhere you may look as long as you stay near I75 your commute wont be too bad
