Is it my biological clock or has society programmed me to want these things?

I was never concerned with having either before last week. Now I really want both. Isn't that weird?

I'm a childcare provider so I spend my day surrounded by kids. I love them. Can't imagine life with out them.

No that's not weird. Society programmed you not to be married and have children; but it was not so from the beginning. Left alone you would have been married and had children long ago. But you were told you didn't need a man; you could have it all. God said it is not good that man should be along, I will make him a help meet; someone that is suitable for him; and then He created you. Thank you for finding yourself.

It could be a combination of your clock and society's stopwatch. But it may simply be you concluding it's time to settle down with Mr. Right - because he is in your life in some way.

Hang around a friend's toddler for a few hours. This impulse will very quickly pass, and you'll be good as new.

EDIT;
Then I sincerely doubt that this impulse has been there only since last week! One week? I give more than one week's consideration regarding the purchase of an expensive, hardcover book.

I am glad to hear you are an independently wealthy childcare provider (I know this profession pays astronomically well). You can hire staff.

Women have a relatively short window for optimum child raising. It sounds like your biological clock ticking away.

The biological clock doesn't affect your desire for marriage or children, just your ability to have it. You probably just had a change of heart. Go for it, if you truly do want it.

No, that's not weird at all. My sister never liked children, and now she has 3. She just had a change of heart.

Me too! I think its a bit of both. When you get to a certain age you start wanting different things

Don't act on that feeling immediately. Wait a year or so and see if the urges go away. If they don't go away, then you've grown to want different things than you used to.
