TRUE STORY:
One day on my lunch break, downtown, there was a street corner preacher holding a bibile and screaming all kinds of things related to the contents. He stopped before I passed, as I was walking past him, he began to scream, but it was right in my ear, which startled me and hurt my ear. As a reflex, without even thinking, I screamed back at him: "Jesus Christ!"
Poetic Justice, I still laugh when I think about it.
But no, I do not like these sorts. They tend to be the ones who have done something terrible in their past, found whatever they are looking for, and want the rest of the world to follow them for whatever reason and it can't be good.
As for me, I don't need to be "born again," I did it right the first time.
Enjoy your day!

I don't actually "hate" anyone. There are a few people I dislike and some I just don't want to be around, but hate, no.
I don't hate those that are termed "bible thumpres" meaning they really want to share the word of their god with others... I understand this need.
I would LOVE to share how amazing my own spirituality is with others, but I don't, because religion is a personal thing.
I don't like anyone that tries to force feed me their beliefs and views, but hate is a very negative and strong word.

Hate's such a *strong* word.
I save it for worthier foes. Now, I will confess to a certain amount of reflexive disdain, having grown up one of the "Children of the Lie" and it having taken YEARS to get the thumbprint out of my forehead, but . . . I'm getting better about that.
They're kind of sad, really. Not being able to just have a conversation and be one's self without resorting to spouting Buybull verses and "crazy people talk" about sin and redemption and Jewish zombies.
*shrug* It's a large world.

I don't hate them. I feel sorry for them. They are stricken with the disease of fundamentalism, and unless they recognize their illness, it will completely eat away at their spirits.

I only dislike them because 99% of the time, they NEVER practice what they are so fond of preaching.
