Honestly, it depends on the situation and the circumstances, some things I have to beat around the bush but usually I like being straight forward and direct.

I am straight forward to others..honest etc. But I believe I beat around the bush at times...trying not to hurt someones feelings..and I always end up the one hurt.

I am straight forward- which sometimes rubs people the wrong way, but I still believe it is the best way to go if you don't want any misconceptions.
