OK so lets have a bit imagination here. The rich and powerful have never known poverty and obviously want to retain their position in society. One needs to experience extreme poverty to understand the hopelessness of that situation.

We can't have a cultural revolution. that's been tried and proven impossibLE

So what about having a world without borders and create a One World society where love and patience could exist without evil, where every one of us gives to others according to our ability and no one has too much more than they need.

Let us all enable the poorest to care for themselves in the way that they themselves choose and not as the World Bank and International Monetary Fund want.

Let us not continue our history of greed in traditional way. Can't we have a change in our ways of thinking and therefore change the way the world continues to evolve.

Or can we stop for a moment and listen to "that still small voice of calm" before we go forward.

I would do absolutely nothing, God did not create man to save the world, he created man to save himself, It is the greed for power and wealth that creates poverty, when you give your power away you lose your ability to survive, and that is exactly what the poor nations in the world have done, the richest people in the world could not even if they wanted to, will not change or eliminate world poverty.

The only true way to address world poverty is to go after those who have made exhorbitant amounts of money at the expense of billions who can barely make ends meet no matter how hard they work.

Socialism is NOT a four-letter word.

Peace and Blessings,

That word would not exist any more. See I personally believe, wealth is a test to see what one will do with it. If I had the wealth and power to change the way people lived, I would be the first to give all that I have so that I may sleep a little better at night. If I see someone walking and my wife and I are about to eat or just finish eating, we find people to feed. Ramadan has taught us to waste not and to feed our brothers and sisters while they're on their journey.

I will offer my help and do what's best for each situation after obtaining a survey or study and giving most attention first to the most serious ones. This will also depend on my capability and allocated budget and the integrity of the people who will manage the herculean job.

Increase taxes so that the middle-class can't hope to catch up with the aristocracy. This will tend to dampen all economic activicty, impoverish everyone and lead to more starvation.

Thus, the number of people in poverty will decrease.

Nothing, If you feel concerned about it then you must be feeling guilty, it isn't your fault, the fault lies with the governments of the poor people they don,t care about their poor, and its makes them feel more powerful and elitist to have lots of poor people.
