What matter in palls and surveys is not the sincere, ignorant or intentionally silly votes of the participants; what matters is the original question--to you, the asker--and the value answers have that are sincere for you--do you learn something from the vote, the reasons given, the ideas underlying the evaluations, etc.?
Without that--it would be a pointless sacrifice of time.
With a category--a definition underlying a value, perhaps someone else has a good answer, a thoughtful or spontaneous one.

Oh my! When I first started hearing rumblings of this, I thought it was just a joke; didn't think that people could truly be feuding over questions asked for entertainment. I usually come onto P&S at the end of my work day to unwind with the fun and silliness. From what I've observed, anything truly ugly gets policed out by the P&Sers themselves. I hope that we can all appreciate the positives the other has to offer and go from there.
I have to go to work now. It's a beautiful day outside. Hope all of you enjoy it.

Polls and Surveys can include all questions and answers from any categories if posed correctly so it's basically an all in one shot here . For that reason I disagree .

Not me its rather fun. If you don't like it just get out. Simple as that =D. At least we don't try to force our views on people and bring up controversial topics such as do you believe in God and other questions like that.

it particularly is extremely exciting to project into the different categories and be sarcastic with the "am I pregnant" or the "does he like me" or all the staggering questions in R & S~ i pass to the different categories to screw with human beings if i'm feeling slightly on the orniary area, and the questions listed decrease than are decrease than exciting!
