As many as it takes - but the person has to genuinely be trying to change and not be giving me lip service.

Depending on the situation.....
Drugs 1- just don't do it again... stay clean

Cheating 0- They will cheat again 99% of the time and just get better at hiding it and sneakier

Hitting a woman or a child 0- If they do it once in anger, cause they were drunk or what ever it will happen again

Now less serious stuff, it really depends on the person and what your situation is. What they did, how many times have they done it, does it make you uncomfortable or scared

Hey.
Well it really depends, on the situtation. Like if one of your kids
needs a million chances to change their behavior then 2 should be the limit. But if your asking you friend to change the way they look, then you just have to accept they dont want to change. But if it is your boyfriend you guys need to sit down and talk and work things out. Nothing is easy, it just takes time :)

I have a very long fuse, but when I blow you better back up. It depends on the person and the circumstances, and I usually am very willing to let people do their own thing. I'm a very nice person until I've had enough then it's over.

It depends on your patience. How much can you withhold? It also depends on the siituation. If a person is cheating on you or lying the most you give that person is two chances. Never again should you trust that person. But it depends on how much you can take from that person.

It depends on the situation, why the person lives the way they live, and how you are expecting/telling/asking them to change. Sometimes one chance is appropriate, sometimes more chances are appropriate. And sometimes YOU have to accept they're not going to change.

Usually two to someone I know dearly. But if it's a random joe then 1.

Whenever they screw up you can just always keep that imperfection about them in the back of your brain.
