If you don't know, then you shouldn't be writing a book.
Writing a book is a huge commitment. If you have to ask the members of YA for a topic, then I suspect you do not have what it takes to get it done.
Perhaps you can begin by enrolling in a few writing classes.

Anything that moves you. That is up to you - nobody else. Just remember that whatever you write about, you must become an expert about. The more difficult a subject you choose, the more research you will have to do. That's why teachers generally suggest you write about what you know. Pax - C

What are your favorite things to read? Write that. I love science fiction so I write science fiction. Don't write what you think people will want to read, write what you would like to read.

Write about something you feel passionate about, and/or something that would make you an "expert" on the subject.
Write informally. Don't lecture. Show your reader that in spite of your knowledge and experience, you are not "distant".
As I mentioned at the beginning of my answer, passion will be the fire that'll keep you going. The readers will feel it and "connect".
Good luck!

Yourself, people around you, topics you understand. It can be fiction or non-fiction. There's even a new category that writers have adopted called "creative non fiction."
