Harry is not a horcrux!
This idea makes no sense in light of the prophesy for one, and why would Voldemort put part of his soul into someone he might have to fight anyway. If he kills Harry, he's wasted part of his soul. Also, I reject the idea that Harry became a horcrux as an unintentional byproduct of the rebounding of Voldemort's killing curse. The byproduct is known and is the empathic bound between the two, and that's all, IMHO.
Remember too that all the horcruxes have to be destroyed before Voldemort is vulnerable to death. If Harry is a horcrux, then Harry must die first, then Voldemort. So it would mean that Harry would have to loose a killing curse at Voldemort just after Voldemart loosed a killing curse against him--that is very tricky timing!.
I take the prophecy to mean that vanquishing Voldemort it Harry's job--no chance that Voldemort becomes vulnerable with a Harry sacrifice and with Harry dead, someone else kills Voldemort. Remember that Voldemort is very powerful wizard and other witches or wizard likely can't pull it off, as a practical matter.

interesting question... OK, I won't say Harry Potter just because I like the character, however, I will say Harry Potter, because I think it's really awesome, strange, weird, creepy, and a great idea to turn Harry Potter, the chosen one, the Boy Who Lived, into a horcrux, even though it was not Voldemort's intention. That proves what a great author JK Rowling is! What an idea, I had no idea what was going to happen, it seems JK Rowling always has a trick up her sleeve! Nagini was an interesting horcrux too, well all horcruxes are "interesting", god, I sound like Hermione, I just think Nagini was an interesting choice to turn into a horcrux, the object that holds a part of your soul, and a part of your life. I think the Ring was a cool horcrux because it was a deathly hallow.

No, in my opinion. I don't have time to give much proof, but consider these points, both for and against:
Slughorn says that making a horcrux requires a spell; therefore, making one is a very conscious act. Voldemort didn't make Harry a horcrux when he tried to kill him, even if a part of him did get put into Harry, because he didn't have the chance to cast a spell.
Anyway, why would Voldemort want to make Harry a horcrux? It wouldn't make sense because he wants his horcruxes to last as long as possible, but he wants to kill Harry because he's his only competition. Dumbledore said it's inadvisable to make living things horcruxes because they have free will and can die.
Voldemort has tried over and over again to kill Harry. He wouldn't do that if he thought/knew that Harry was his horcrux.
I think that Pettigrew's big appearance in Deathly Hallows will be to help Harry find the horcruxes and destroy them. If--IF--Harry is a horcrux, Peter's role will be to tell Harry how to destroy the horcrux without committing suicide.
I hope he isn't. He's got enough to deal with (and yes, I know I'm a dork for feeling sorry for a fictional boy, but too bad.)

All the horcruxes Dumbledore and Harry discuss are inanimate things, except for Nagini, which is not human - it seems to go against the grain for a human to be a horcrux, somehow.
Plus the obvious problem of Harry having to kill himself BEFORE he could kill Voldemort, which doesn't make sense !
So it points to the remaining horcuxes being things or the snake, and not Harry himself, in my opinion.

there is a high possibility of it. i think this bcause voldemort atempted to murder harry. and since he did not succeed and harry wuz/ is the only person 2 have ever surviver the killing curse i believe that since his mother saved him in a way he can withstand certain things. when voldemort tried to kill harry in order to eliminate the prophecy he wuz also sort of made into a strange kind of thing (it is hard 2 explain but all the hp people will get it) where he wuz not really in human form, haveing to live off others and unicorn blood and such. because of this part of his soal wuz split.... i mean could have been. lol! voldemort does have a bit of himself in harry. hence the scar. and dumbledore also mentioned that he could see voldemort in harry's eyes at times ( also shone in the goblet of fire movie when harry wakes up after haveing the dream about the graveyard while he wuz at the weaslys). i really do not think that he is though. i mean can a living thing actually be a horcrux.
voldemort wants 2 kill harry because he is in the prophecy that 1 can not live while the other survives. the prophecy also states that the person wuz born in july and had parents that5 were in the order of the pheonix. both harry and nevil fit but voldemort chose harry. my theory is that it is because he had had the longbottoms tortured bythe cruciates curse. if voldemort does not kill harry harry will kill him.

Okay, here's some proof for you:
Voldemort intended to make a horcrux with Harry's death. That much is fact. The only way that Harry could be a horcrux is if Voldemort did it on accident, using Lily's death, which is highly unlikely, given the intense evil of the magic, and supposed power required to make a horcrux.
Since Voldemort intended to use Harry's death, and Voldemort was made weak instantly by the Avada Kedavra curse, he had no power left to do whatever magic was necessary to make the scar on Harry's head a horcrux. Voldemort was too weak, and as far as we know, Avada Kedavra curse does not double as the Horcrux-making magic.
Dumbledore did say that Voldemort put a bit of himself into Harry, but I believe the scar is evidence of the prophecy, more than it is evidence of a horcrux having been made. The prophecy states that the Dark Lord will mark one as his equal... the scar is evidence of that mark.
A scar is also part of a whole. The scar is not an object itself... it is a part of Harry. If Nagini is a horcrux, then her whole self is a horcrux. If you cut out her tongue, it would most likely not release the soul. Harry's scar does seem like it acts on its own accord, but it is just a connection, the mark of equality, with Voldemort.

I think JKR actually said he isn't. And it makes sense... there are a lot of opposites in the book, so much push and pull, it seems right that one would die and one would live. And obviously, evil wouldn't be the one to live.
Unless she pulls a fantastic twist.
Check out the Leaky Lounge or something, they would all be up on it.

Cant we give this a rest folks? Nobody except JK Rowing will know the answer to that question until July 21 - so why keep asking it? Find a good book to read until then. I recommend Red Badge of Courage, Catcher in the Rye or the short stories of O Henry. That should keep you busy for a while. Pax - C

I don't know. Everyone has their theories, and some seem more accurate than others, but the only way to know for sure will be to wait for July 21. It's very exciting!!!
