I don't think that God would have a stock in the outcome of a baseball game. I forget who, but there was a batter that prayed for a hit. The catcher asked what he did, and the batter told him. The catcher then bowed his head for a few seconds, and looked up "Well I just prayed that you'd strike out. Can we get back to the game?" I would hope that God wasn't actually a Yankee fan, or any other fan, for that matter.

Living in montreal, we got all of our religious communities to pray for a winning season (churches, synagogues, mosques) before they were thinking of relocating the Expos. Sadly, nothing happened so you're theory is a wee bit flawed.

Not necessarily, but the team that prays more for God's will, will benefit more whether it's on the field or in other aspects of their lives

I would say it does once in awhile. God does not always answer pray they way we want him to!!
