It is understandable why people think that Hewitt is Harry's father,but Hewitt bears a strong resemblance to the Spencer family himself...he looks quite a lot like a young Johnny Spencer,Earl Edward John Spencer,8th Earl Spencer,Diana's father.

Hewitt looks like a Spencer himself,but that doesn't make him a Spencer!Harry's having red hair and having faint resemblance to Hewitt doesn't make him Hewitt's son! Genetics do and the only way to find that out is DNA testing.The Queen doesn't think it necessary and the Palace officials think the chances of Hewitt being Harry's father slim-to-none and agree with her. Harry is a Windsor,and that is that.
Diana had an unfortunate history with men and love;she married her prince who turned out to love someone else more.She tried the upper class ways of staying in a power-marriage but having affairs on the side and that didn't work out for her. Dodi Fayed was not "true love at last." Diana went out with him to make Hasnat Khan jealous. Yes,she had affairs.But I don't think that she embarked on affairs until it was quite clear that the marriage was over;that was AFTER Harry's birth.

Princess Diana may not have been the sharpest knife in the drawer but she was not stupid enough to have the "spare" fathered by another man. And, besides, she did not meet James Hewitt (the alleged father) until Harry was 2 years old. He gets his colouring from the Spencer side of the family & looks very much like his Uncle Charles & his children.

Diana is passed on and has no way to defend herself. I agree that Harry looks like Hewitt. But that doesn't necessarily mean he is Hewitt's son.
If they royals know one way or the other, they are not telling and really it's none of our business.

Does it really matter to world peace and third world debt that he is presumed by you to be someone else's son? This is an ignoratn question born of a lack of occupation.....must you look at the genealogy of others.....i suggest strongly that you start planting the seeds of your own family tree without prying into the gardens of others.......

No one really can say. He does bear a striking image to James Hewitt. And for the British press to say that red hair comes from Diana's side is ridiculous. They have the same eyes and the same mouth. This is probably why the Queen won't allow speculation or a DNA test. She must realize that it may in some way be possible. She cares more about propriety than anything else.
