Depends on the company and whether or not you are armed. A clean record counts big time and often there is (the rather useless) "lie-detector" test. If armed, you will need to be able to hit a target once in a while and will need city/county/state licences (possibly all three).

Most places only ask you to be 18 for basic security. As long as you are dependable and a good risk you shouldn't have any trouble.

security where? It depends on where you want to work - every place is different. If you want to be mall security you only need to be 18 years old. It all depends on the place.
