i don't know i feel my husband knows what we have is good and he is afraid to lose that. we have definitely had our share of trust-testers, but we made it through. marriage isn't easy, but anything worth having isn't easy - it requires work. once you learn how to read a person, you can just tell, when they are lying and when they are sincere. and God blessed us with this wonderful thing called intuition, so that helps also.

Because he has a good track record and has never done anything in the 8 years we've been together that was inappropriate (in regards to other women).

And also because I really have no choice but to trust him and hope for the best. I could never stop him from doing something with someone else if he really wanted to. So I just have to trust him until he gives me a reason not to.

Well when i was in a relationship you have to trust one another unless the spouse gave a reason not to trust like cheating or lying. Without trust why be in a relationship.

Because, knowing his personality, I don't believe he is the type of person that fools around. That is, it that is what you meant by trust. I don't think it is impossible, but I do think it is unlikely. This is part of why I chose him.

Now, if you mean trusting his honesty, then no. He tells those little lies that make him look good. That damages my respect for him.

Because I have never been given a reason not to. I expect them to live up to their promises and be truthful if they can't (as in my one marriage that he asked to be set free of) and of three unions, I have never had cause to regret.

my hubby has never given me a reason not to trust him, we always keep our word to eachother plus we took a serious vow and plan to keep it that way, if you cannot trust your mate then you shouldnt be with them.
