Unless you have a reliable car, do not attempt the trip. Have your car checked over to see if it is suitable for the trip. If not, the only options are to borrow a car from a parent, or find other transportation.

You want to make sure that you have reservations for a place to stay, and that the hotel will rent to 18 year olds. Many hotels and motels require that renters be at least 21.Allow for at least $100 per night lodging, and make sure that you have money to get back home!

Remember that there are a lot of bad folks out there, and three teenage girls need to be very careful about your personal safety.

For example, while some parts of DC are OK, there are some areas where I do not go. It is very easy to get lost and end up somewhere dangerous! The same with Richmond, Baltimore, Boston, and other cities!!

I hope you have a safe a fun trip!!
