UHMM..

im reading this new series the insiders..
and im hoping it's like the clique because i loved that series.
just if you go to your local library or book store there is a teen section and you can just sometimes tell by the cover or the reading on the back that it's going to be like the girl books that you like.

hope this advice works.

The Mates and Dates series (Cathy Hopkins) - three/later four girls and their discovering themselves, falling in love and getting through school (Not as dramatic as the Clique series)

The A-List -similar to Clique (Zoey Dean) - about a set of A-List Girls who rule their area and their lives

The Gossip Girl books (Cecily Von Seiger) - notoriously known girls in New York City and their schemes, love lives, and everything scandalous

The It Girl books - similar to Clique (by Cecily Von Seiger) - a girl from another series you'd like THE GOSSIP GIRL series - goes to a different school, leaves the GOSSIP GIRL setting and its about her adventures there

The Insiders - like Clique but boys instead of girls (J. Minter) - the top Hottest boys of NYC and their "adventures"

PRIVATE books (Kate Brian) - similar to Clique - boarding school drama with a lot of "Getting In With the Top Popular Girls" to it

The Seven Deadly Sin Books (Robin Wasserman) - group of kids in CA boarding school

I'm pretty sure you'll love these books. Some of them do contain slightly sexual themes (Gossip Girl, PRIVATE, and Seven Deadly Sins) at times, but if you are aware of that and pick them up at your own risk, there will be one of those series you like.
I don't know how serious it's taken for you as an 8th grader -when I was an 8th grader it wasn't a big deal, but it depends.

Have fun, enjoy reading! Good luck!

Definitely Perks of Being a Wallflower, Cathy's Book, and the Weetzy Bat books. All have some mature content, but they are excellent choices for a hip, creative young woman.
