If your wife has pefumes you need to check them to see what she has already bought. Perfume is a very personal thing and it is almost impossible to buy it even for your wife, unless she has already stated she likes a particular fragrance. If you give her a perfume she has never used before, you stand a very good chance of buying one she will either hate or be allergic to. Even people not inclined to allergies can be allergic to a fragrance.
There are few things worse than puttin on a perfume for the first time and going somewhere only to find you hate it and are stuck until you can get home and shower to rid yourself of the fragrance. I know this first hand.
You would be better off, if she has not told you or a friend she likes a particular fragrance, to buy her a nice piece of jewelry, or a piece of clothing in the same style she usually wears.
Save yourself some time, money, and stress and forget the fragrance.

My favorite is Jessica McClintock. Every-time I wear it I get compliments. This is the best time of year to buy perfumes . There are all kinds of specials and bonuses. Go to the perfume counters and smell the samples. Look out of the norm most women like something that no one else has.

Well it depends on the personality, but I would choose maybe a flower scented perfume, if she is a happy and exciting kind of person then you should probably buy a 'bright' kind of purfume, if she is a relaxed or shy person, then maybe something like lavender. You could also just buy her favorite flower purfume, it's all about what SHE likes and I would recommend it being something that you can stand also and don't dislike.

Hope she likes it w/e you decide on!

what a good question! Buy her your favorite smell and that is close to what she wears. That way you'll love it and it'll be safe cause its close to the kind she has. I firmly believe that spouses should buy their spouses' perfume/cologne. As long as it is something that, based on their selection, isnt too far off. Good luck.

That is so sweet that you are buying it for no special occasion :) I really like Provocative Woman (Elizabeth Arden), Organza (Estee Lauder), or Oscar de la Renta. Good luck finding the perfect one for your wife.

I'm loving Armani Code right now and a gentleman friend of mine bought me Lancome Hypnose as a gift which I thought was in great taste!

Ive always been a sucker for fire and ice by Revlon, or if she's in to something more seductive Esteea Lauder has a 4 bottle set for $40.00.

That is the BEST kind of gift..a "just because" gift..I love it and so will she! Buy something you like, test a few at the counter. Personally, I like CHANEL N°5.
