It is supposed to be a treasured word, but it has been spoiled by the youth.

It's because they don't understand the deepness and meaning of the word. They haven't truly experienced it yet to respect it.

Love is a word that should be treasured more i think youth don`t spoil it they just don`t mean it,when you look @ a couple who has been together for 18 years and they are glowing with love you know they mean it,but when you see teenagers i guess saying that they love each other when they have only been going out 2 weeks i guess you could say they don`t really know what love is,its just a word they use to show they care for one another and they don`t spoil any-thing,its just how we look @ it i`m a pre teen my~self and i don`t think it has to do with youth spoiling love and what not, they r young and until they grow up and get their head in the real world then they can acually say i love this person and i want to spend the rest of my life with them,we`re young!!! just look @ it thru their point of view!!! :-) GaBbY

I agree with you in this. these days people use the term "love" very lightly. u can often hear two teen-agers saying they are in love with each other even when they are seeing each other for just 1 week!!! the problem is that all we people are still trying to know what love is!! we don't realise that its the most beautiful thing in the world!! but I must say that there are still a few people left in this world who value love!

I'm in my mid teens and i completely agree with you everyone uses it like the word is nothing, i believe its immaturity and ignorance that causes them to use it so lightly

hi friend,
i partially agree with u.now-a-dayz love is nothing but just a word for a some people.
they dont realise that love is a beautiful thing n it is gifted to quite a few people.they dnt value it.
but there are people who value it more dan their life.
such people are few but itz because of such people that the importance for love is still dere.
itz because of them dat others wish to fall in love.
so friend v shud think of such people instead of thinkin of people who dnt respect / value love. :-)
take care.

I very rarely use it, I say it when I really really mean it. Kinda like how the Japanese rarely say it. My lover, however, says it all the time...
