man what a wake up call he'd get in new york...
imagine Kobe in new york demanding a trade if he took the knick's too 2 playoff Win's in three year's..
it's new york man they'd throw food on him in the street's and call him a clown all day long.
ain't no one bigger than the city down there he'd have a meltdown there nobody would try to babysit him or would try to kiss his butt which would make him i think can't handle that he's got an ego that won't let him be just another player and in new york it's put up or shut up and i don't see Kobe shutting up when he doesn't put up and then after his mouth open's the city's people , media , and attitude toward's him is gonna show him what a open mouth is..
new york is ready for anything it's the center of the world..
they seen it , done it , lived it , I'm pretty sure they can handle a crybaby.

Kobe Bryant, just like Stephon Marbury and Eddy Curry, does not embody the essence of the New York Knicks. Historically, the Knicks are successful when the team embraces teamwork, defense and sacrificing one's self for the team. From the days of Dick McGuire and Harry Gallatin, to Reed, DeBusschere, Bradley, Monroe and Frazier, to the brief moments of glory in the 80s with Bernard King, Truck Robinson, to the 90s Riley teams with Ewing, Oakley and Starks, to the 99 cinderella team with Sprewell and Camby, the Knicks were great when the team blended together despite not having the best talent.
On the other hand, there were times (such as now) where the Knicks stockpiled talent in an attempt to "force" talent to mesh. See the 60s with Walt Bellamy. See the late 70s with Spencer Haywood and Bob McAdoo. See the Knicks NOW.
So unless Kobe changes his game (like Earl Monroe did when he was traded to New York), I don't see him helping us Knick fans in the long run other than to make the Knicks popular again.
Besides, anyone trading with the Knicks will ask for David Lee and if Isiah trades him I will shoot Isiah.

Neither. Kobe wants to get out of LA, but I just don't think that he would work out at all in New York. I think he just wants out, and is pretty much willing to go anywhere at this time. And there isn't anyone that would make a good fit going to NY.

I think he's ready for NY and NY is ready for him. Kobe's ego can handle NY and if he plays his cards right, NY will embrace it. They are a no sh1t city, which I love, so when he acts up, they will let him know and not put up with it. It may be the best thing Kobe could do though. That city would help him grow up! He desperately needs this!

if he went to new york he would be in the same situation as he is in now. he needs a team with a center and then the rest of the guys need to understand and except that they are role players. can you really see marberry or francis accepting that they are role players. ya right.
portland would be a good fit. with roy who is a good player and will accept his role, and then soon to get Oden. ya portland would be a great fit. I just hate portland, but if you truly think aboutg what makes a championship team portland in 2 years would be perfect for kobe.

Yes, New York is ready for Kobe.
Kobe however has miscalculated and is not ready for New York.
Once he start calling radio station in NY saying he wants a
trade, they will drive him out of the NBA no other team will
touch him.
