I reallly hate to say this but gut feeling says its over, he doesn't want to stay in LA with the poor management decisions that doesn't translate into winning

Anyways, im still gonna be a kobe fan and a laker fan (like how i was a shaq fan and a laker fan)

I HOPE WE GET AT LEAST 2 all stars in return...LOL what if Mitch Cupcake messses this up too lol??? man there's gonna be another LA riot if the GM screws up again

Anyways here's the possible players I would like to see in return. There is no way in hell they can send him to a west coast team so ...

Luol Deng, Thabo Sefalosha and 2 1st round picks for KObe

or

Paul Pierce, Al Jefferson AND Rajon Rondo

or

Andre Iguodala, Samuel Dalembert and 1st round pick

or

Gilbert Arenas (and his expiring contract) and Butler

or

Jason Kidd, Jefferson and Nenad Kristic

Kobe's staying for at least one more year. He is still under contract until 2009 and that leaves the lakers one more year to try and build a team around him to change kobes mind. At this point, the lakers can't get fair vaule for him so there is no point in trading him. If the lakers can some how get JO and keep odom, kobe wouldn't want to leave anymore.

Imo, i would trade everyone the lakers have except for kobe and kwame for expiring contracts. This would free up cap space to try and sign KG after next season when he becomes a free agent. And if kobe still wants to leave after 2008 season if we get KG, trade him and build a team around KG. Plus the lakers should get a lottery pick if they trade everyone but kobe in the 2008 draft unless kobe somehow take the lakers into the playoff.

Chicago seems like a very good choice for Kobe, and ESPN agrees with me on this one. But I dont think they are in a position (being in the playoffs and all) to make a block-buster trade. Celtics, well I don't think they would give up on Paul Peirce after all they've done for him. (HUGE Celts fan) I think the Philadelphia trade could possibly work out, because these next few seasons (Kobes prime) will be rebuilding. So I could see that happening. I dont think that the Wiz would give up on Gilbert so fast, and the Nets would be giving up their entire team (and with Vince's contract up, then that team would be Kobe, and just Kobe) Well, we'll just have to wait until before the draft. Only time will tell
