Junkyards can be dicey. Make sure it has at least a short term guarantee. If possible look at the motor before you buy it. Dont know if you or others are installing it. If it looks like its been outside a long time, pass on it. Look at the dipstick to see if it has dark burnt oil stains on it..signs the oil wasnt changed regularly. and take off the oil fill cap and see if it looks "crusty" inside..signs of the same thing. The best place to find used parts is junkyarddog.com. They are linked to junk yards around the country and even with hard to find parts they always help.Hint on the engine try checking close to you first, but some websites offer free shipping. If and I say if cause I have had real hard to find parts and they always find them, but one other idea is to find another jeep to buy for parts.
