For me it's a definate plus. I've been away from P&S for 5 months because of a stalker. Now I'm back and don't have to worry about her anymore because I've blocked her from answering my questions and made my profile private. It feels good to be back. I missed you all. What do you guys feel about the "Blocker"?

Bruta..., I'll tell you all how I knew. It all started because of a question here regarding a certain controversial celebrity. I answered the asker's question and inadvertantly insulted one of this celebrity's uber-fans. She also answered the same question and used her post to voice her rage at me. I had a feeling this person was going to make trouble for me so I deleted my answer. It was too late. I checked my previous questions and answers and noticed "thumbs-down" that hadn't been there before. She had back-tracked through my profile and gave me all TD's. It couldn't have been anyone but her. From then on I was getting TD's for every question and answer I posted. At that point I made a decision to disappear from the board.

I had 2 blocked but I unblocked them. I don't care what they do.

I've noticed since the Block feature came in, I haven't had any random rude e-mails. I guess they figure if they write something nasty, I'll just block them.
So it's been a good thing, but kind of frustrating, because I was looking forward to blocking them!

To me, the BLOCK feature only raises a red flag by marking the blockee's participation... I know that I've blocked them, and thats about it...
HOWEVER, the PRIVATE feature is the most wonderful thing they came up with. Now the stalkers cant go digging in your past for answers/questions to Violate you for... that is... unless they are in your "contacts", then they can see everything...

The blocker is a good thing. The Trolls don't bother me.

you know, if someone is stalking you then go ahead and block them. but how do you know when your being stalked?
i was blocked by some user this morning, i was not rude/mean she just didn't like my opinion - so i blocked her back. so in a way i think is some cases the block featured is miss used.

I think that best way to prevent Trolls for messin' things up. Is to block every Non-Contact, from seeing your Q & A's. That way, they're not able to follow you around. I'm chillin' with it!!

I've only used it with one person so far.But I think it's a great feature for someone who is being harassed.
