When it rains I cannot sleep because it sounds like someone is playing the drums on the air conditioner in my bedroom! Any Ideas?

Move to a dryer climate.
Move to another bedroom.
Remove the Air cooler.
Put an awning over the window that extends past the air cooler.
Wear ear plugs.

How about putting a shelf above it to deflect it. Not so close as to interfere with the cooling but to eliminate the spattering sound? A sheet of ply wood on 4 fence posts would do it just paint it to match the attached structure.

If the airconditioner isn't in use, put the cover it comes with back on it before you go to bed at night.

build a wooden box to fit around it.....leave it open at the front and back....
