Okay, my fiance and I had sex on the 25th of May and we instantly knew that it was a great possibility that I may be pregnant. I had only been on birth control for about a month and within that month, I got off track a little. Two weeks after intercourse (around June 6th), I began bleeding very light in volume and color. However, as time passed, I am still bleeding to this day. I took several pregnancy tests and each one has came back negative. I consulted a Nurse Praticioner and she advised me that it may still be to early to tell and to take another test 10-14 days after my ovulation date. She also told me that birth control pills are not usually that effective while taking the first pack of pills so there was room for be to have become preg. Well I did take another test after ovulation and it still came back negative. She also advised me to get a blood test done to see if I was actually preg or not. It has only been a few weeks but we am anxious to know!

Any help?

Pregnancy tests are really accurate, even just a few days after conception. So stop torturing yourselves with what-ifs. If you want a child, get off birth control. If you don't, take a pill every, every day, and use extra contraception if you take an antibiotic. The first couple of months on a birth control pill are kinda funky and do strange things to your period. Don't worry about the bleeding, just keep the pill on schedule.

It may be a good chance that unfortunately you are not pregnant. But i would still get the blood test that way you know for sure. Test's are pretty accurate. What test did you take? because i took a test that showed from 7 days pregnant. Its a very exciting time trying to get pregnant. Dont get too upset if your not straight away....because you can keep trying and trying...its always fun too ! Just keep trying and be really positive. If your positive about it all it will only be a matter of time ! good luck, and i hope you are preggers soon.

Home pregnancy tests are NOT always accurate. I got pg with twins thru IVF and after it was confirmed by a blood test(hcg was >300) I peed on a HPT just to experience the thrill of actually seeing a line. Well, to my surprise I didn't get a faint line until much later in my first trimester.

Get the blood test to see if your HCG level is above 5
