I think I'd go for that. Nanny ponies are hard to come by (I bought one from England a few weeks ago - there is just nothing in Ireland) and since her job would be to build confidence, have a little potter about on and pamper, she'll probably be OK. But if your nieces suddenly get a burst of enthusiasm and want to do more, you'll have to start looking for another pony again. I'd still get her vetted - I know the vet will mention it, but you can ask about it in terms of being a child's occasional ride, because what he'd rule out in terms of a pony club pony may still be suitable for your nieces. And besides, the vetting may show something else up!

try heating her water a little warmer then usual to soothe her throat , and dont feed her anything at the moment thats really dry, like bran or pony nuts, or anything too hard such as carrots. try putting some water in her feed though to soften it, and keep her warm at night, put a light rug on or keep her in each night until she feels better. if her health deteriorates in the next few days, or she stops eating, its worth calling the vet. hope she's better soon!

No that wasn't the reason..
Were they fresh bran muffins, or store boughten?
It might of been the presertives in the store ones..
Always use fresh ones and you won't have that problem
