Yes - it's as and second in line is Memorial City. Coming from New York, The Galleria is as good as shopping gets in Houston if you are looking for mid-range and high-end shops. Some of the sores include: Zara, Kate Spade, BCBG, YSL, Chanel, Betsy Johnson, Barney's (it's back), St. John and slew of new stores (I havent been in a month or so). The anchor stores are Macy's (there are 2 now), Nordstrom, Neimans and Saks. Not to mention all the eateries inside the mall itself or close by.
If you are looking for boutique shopping, there strip centers like Highland Village which has Anthropologe or Rice Village.
Cheers!

It has a wide variety of stores. You can find stores for medium and high end dollar items. As mentioned above, they have the skating rink. You should be able to find everything you want there.
With that being said, I do not go to the Galleria very often. I am not into high end stores, not even for looking. I can find everything I want to buy at other malls that are closer to my house.

How does the internet make it? It's a shopping mall on several levels. There is an an ice skating rink and some of the most exclusive stores in the USA.

properly in Downtown there is plenty occurring for the forth. Very exciting with all the concert activities and firework. Galleria has fireworks yet not something like downtown. additionally Kemah is extremely intense high quality to pass and that they have concert activities as properly. My suggestion pass downtown.
