There are experts who think that if 1st Officer William Murdoch had not ordered to turn Titanic hard to starboard, less watertight compartments would have been holed, maybe just one or two, and the Titanic would not have sunk.
In that case, a few innovations would maybe have been started later :
- International Ice Patrol
- Changes in ship design like more lifeboats, reinforced hulls, higher watertight bulkheads and double hulls
- regulations instructing vessels to moderate their speed if they were expecting to encounter icebergs
- regulations to man radio transcievers 24/7

It is difficult to say if the world would be different; however, it would be different for the families of the deceased. Here is a list of famous people that perished on the Titanic:
FAMOUS PEOPLE THAT DIED ON THE TITANIC
John Jacob Astor (1864-1912), multi-million and one of the wealthiest men in the world, was a cousin of William Waldorf Astor and a great-grandson of the fur trader who founded the family fortune. An inventor and a science fiction novelist, he was also responsible for building several great New York City hotels: the Astoria (later combined with the Waldorf), the Knickerbocker, and the St. Regis. He served as a director on the boards of several major U.S. corporations, but his career was cut short when he perished in the mid-Atlantic aboard the Titanic.
Millionaire Benjamin Guggenheim was traveling on the Titanic with a lady friend. His wife and family were at home in New York. Guggenheim and his manservant helped women and children into lifeboats. When all the boats had gone they changed into their best clothes and prepared to "Die like gentlemen."
Isidor Straus who was a business partner of Rowland H. Macy (Macy's, Inc.). He died in 1912 when the Titanic hit an iceberg and went down. His wife was never recovered.

Well since all the "movers and shakers" got on life boats, chances are slim that much would be different. If one of the peasants who was left to go down with the ship was some future world changer we will never know. i am sure it made an effect on ship technology though, but world shaking difference, nobody will ever know.

I think..
We would not learn from our mistakes.
Mistakes:
Not building proper safe large ships.
So that would end in a result of we have many ships built like the Titanic.. that is until a different ship sinks down.
Another thing is that many people wouldn't have died..
There would be no such song as "My heart will go on.."

would of been very different maybe a bigger ship with more people would have sunk later on because the law that you keep your radio on 24/7 wouldn't have been there
