I want to purchase an IPOD and the apple site has some returned IPODs that have been refurished on their site---would you trust purchasing these?

Yes I would trust, but not recommend: because they are not dirt cheap, and its straight from the retailer. refurbish means: to make clean, bright, or fresh again; renovate. They are returned iPods, and I believe they even have a warrenty.

I'd trust an Apple refurbished iPod a lot more than I would trust any other used iPod that you could buy, whether it be from a friend, eBay or a pawn shop. The iPods have been used and returned, but any problems with the iPod have been fixed before reselling it. Plus, they come with both the Apple guarantee and warranty.

If Apple did the work yes. They manufacture the ipod after all.
