The boys' families spent millions on defense and the prosecutor's life is ruined because he meant to make a name for himself. I feel that she should have to answer for this. How do you feel about this?

Civil suits always go after "deep pockets", which she obviously doesn't have. This would have to be a criminal trial, and that decision would be up to the state. You can imagine reasons why the state would be hesitant to prosecute.

Apparently she has a history of mental illness and made similar accusations before. She has nothing so what would the parents and young men gain by suing her?

Suing the former prosecutor is another story. He is being disbarred, he should be financially libel since he KNEW the above woman had a reputation for making these kinds of allegations and for having mental health issues.

In the long run after a decade or two these young men will be able to have normal lives and normal careers , as long as they are not always being refered to as the Duke Lacross players in the date rape scandal.

Have you not heard she didn't lie?? Just ask the NAACP or the Rainbow Coalition or any of those righteous groups led by such great guys as Sharpton and Jackson. If She was white there would be community service for a long time or criminal charges for the filing of false charges and the millions spent in the witch hunt. She is probably getting a higher fee for her stripping because of the notoriety she received.

No, they actually decided not to file any charges. Although what she did was illegal. They were afraid that the case will cause even more controversy.

There won't be any charges by police & authorities.

I'm not sure if the family plans to sue the woman. I'm sure they'll sue Nifong though.

I would hope there will at least be a civil suit. They may never see a dime but just for the fact that it sets the example to other young girls they can get away with it.

Not yet but, it's only a matter of time. The lawyer lost his job and when they are done with him she's next.
