1)A bent prop can cause cavitation in the prop wash which might prevent your impeller from picking up enough water, 2)Plus it could cause your shaft to become imbalanced and cause premature wearing on the seal and bearings.)3 when you hit the object you could have spun the hub inside the prop. Wouldn't hurt to take to an experienced prop man and have it fixed.

Probably the worst it can do is slow the boat down a bit. We did the same thing to ours but the prop had a big bend in it. It still worked ok until we could replace it. No worries.

If the prop is unbalanced, it could eventually damage the bearings. A prop repair shop can check it. It is not cheap to have it done. If the prop is a aluminum or composite check on replacing it.

It won't do much really. I work at a marina, and I can tell you noone's prop is perfect! We send them out to get reconditioned, and the one's he actually send out open your eyes. Haha. So don't worry, just ride it out. If you're that concerned get it reconed. For our customers it costs $160 to recon the whole prop. Good luck! And have a great boating season!!

If you use it, you will destroy the seals and the bearings in your shaft drive. At the same time, the vibration will cause everything else on the engine to self destruct - not to mention your kidneys. Take it to a propeller shop ( or even Boat US) and have it fixed and rebalanced. Shouldn't cost very much and will save your engine and drive train.

Can cause cavitation and vibrations. Happened to me. I sent mine into Midwest Prop Service to be repaired. They have a website and toll free number. www.midwestpropeller.com. Good work and my prop seems good as new.

Presently, your propellor is off balanced. There will not be much damage,if you dont get any vibrations. The vibrations may appear when at high speed.Avoid vibrations coz that will damage your stern gland packing, and water may leak from stern tube.just be alert.
Otherwise you can enjoy until next docking.
cruise happily and safely.

Awwww it's not the size or shape that matters, it's what you do with it. Don't disregard your prop just b/c it's got a lil' kink in it :(
