If Bush keeps playing "the bad will ambassador to the world" we won't make it to the year 2012.

The Mayan calendar had to end SOME time right? You can't make a calendar to year infinity. Maybe the guy in charge of continuing the calendar finally kicked the bucket. But I digress...the answer is no, there is no reasonable basis to expect that the world will end in 2012

This question appears all the time. Boring!

It is testimony to the crap that people put on the internet.

There is some wonderful "real" stuff on the internet. Try reading it instead of garbage.

What did we used to say in the IT world ' "Garbage in, garbage out".

Obviously the same goes for kids mind's.

(If you are not a kid, then you should really worry)

No. That is just the Mayan calendar that loops around.
Same as we went through when we used only the last two digits for year. 7 years ago, we had the Y2K bug to fear because programs were written that did not account for the year following 99 being 00.

Since NO ONE uses the Mayan calendar anymore, NO ONE will be affected.

Except for fraudsters who like to start crazy stories so they can sell their garbage books to gullible buyers.

depending who you ask. If you ask the Mayans, they would tell you it is; thats as long as their calendar goes... (and it is said they have one of the precisest calendars ever made. In the other hand, if you ask me.... I'll tell you no.....the world is still gonna go strong for a few millenia..... according to me.... who r u going to believe...... me or the Mayans?

No, just the Mayan calendar. Which means, I guess, that while you and I get older , any Mayans around will stop getting any older!
