methane powered...maybe someone will come up with the Fartmobile as the energy saving vehicle of the future to alleviate our dependency on foreign oil

Farts are basically made out of methane, which is highly flamable... that then ends in a result of it being able to be lit.

Because digestion of certain foods produce highly flammable gases particularly methane, which when exposed to a naked flame mixed with the right amount of oxygen will ignite and form a jet of fire.
Apparently the amount we produce is nothing compared to cows...now don't go around putting lighters up against cow's behinds now....:)

The gas that makes them up is of the methane family and flamable. Also dangerous as I saw a room mate almost set his but on fire one time. (the paint was dry and too dark to watch the grass grow)

Truth is they can be as my grandmother did it to my father years ago and there was a pretty blue flame!!
Just as he was about to let one rip she got ready with a lighter and lit it as let go and thats what happened amid huge amounts of laughter from everyone else!!
