I had hoped to have a nice father's day today and made my daddy breakfast and everything. However, I am spoiled and my older brother and sister are both jealous. So it's like they went in and got a nice gift for him together and left me on my own and I just got my first job ever two weeks ago, so I couldn't afford to get him anything which is why I made breakfast and washed his car today. This was EXTREMELY unfair of them.
However, to make matters even worse, my brother and sister also got my daddy this gag gift wooden paddle that says "Texas Tailblazer" on it and told daddy it was for me. My brother even painted "for Lori" on it. This was EXTREMELY embarrassing to me, but my daddy just chuckled and said "we'll see" and he hung it up on the wall of our dining room. I don't want everyone who visits our house seeing this, it would be EXTREMELY embarrassing. Daddy would more likely threaten than really ever use it, but I am EXTREMELY annoyed with my older brother and sister!

Lori, as a mother and grandmother I can tell you the gifts that you receive are not valued more because of their cost.The gift of your time ,doing something for another, is worth much more.It takes only money to buy a gift but to actually give of yourself is priceless.Your dad will appreciate your efforts , that you remembered he is special to you and that you love him.Long after the expensive after shave is gone and the designer shirt is long forgotten I can guarantee that your dad will remember the time his daughter Lori made him breakfast and washed his car.He will find comfort in this story because he knows his "little girl" is growing up.Don't worry about your brother and sister,they were just joking.It is a sign you are mature when you can make fun of yourself.It was only a god natured joke.You seem like a very secure and confident young girl so just take the joke in the spirit it was meant.I think your dad knows you well enough and loves you enough he wouldn't intentionally hurt your feelings.

Take that paddle down. Tell him it was very funny that he hung it up, but that the joke is now over. Ask him if he wants to get rid of it or if he wants you to get rid of it for him. That leaves him no other choice.
So, really your older brother and sister wasted their money on that gift. You should feel sorry for them for not knowing better than to do something like that. At least you didn't throw your money away for father's day.

Just ignore you abonixous siblings. Or you can tell them that you are feeling hurt about what they are doing to you. Its obivous you dont like it and want them to stop. Maybe talk to your parents or a guideance counselr.
