I am tired. I am sick. My self-esteem seems to be at an ultimate low, and everyone I know seems to be so much better/smarter/prettier than me =[. What would make me feel better?

I get a Chinese massage and then a mani/pedi or have my hair done. I don't do retail therapy....I call it "me therapy".

Sweetie,

I would call a few friends or one special friend who doesn't care if your hair is a mess, the dishes aren't done and the sheets haven't been changed since Easter. They have the ability to pamper you like you deserve far more than my hands can type dreams.

You are smarter (with great self insight)
better (well, will be soon)
prettier (go to the Lancome counter for a free lesson)
than you may feel right now.....so get out of bed and try a few of our suggestions! Take care! xoxoxoxoxo!

If this has been going on for months, you may need therapy to talk out ways to cope.

No matter how tired or sick you are, take a walk somewhere....the longer the better. This will release endorphins in your body which will make you feel better, whether you want to or not. Believe me, I have done this when it was dangerous for me to be around myself, and it helped me. It has also helped others to whom I have given this advice. Then, do it again the next day, and the next....... Depending on the weather, you may need to walk in a mall, but walk somewhere safe, and notice what's going on around you. All of this will distract your mind from your current troubles, which will aid in your healing. Above all, remember many of us are pulling for you and wish the best! You're not alone when you have Yahoo friends. Now, get walking!

You have to solve your biggest problem. The one so big that all other problems together seam nothing comparing to this huge problem. The one problem that makes life miserable just by itself even if all other problems are solved. The problem of all humankind: death. Without solving this I would be unhappy, solving this I am happy no matter what.

Hope this helps at least making you focus on a more important thing then focusing on how to be "so much better/smarter/prettier than" others.

Thank you for your attention.

There are two factors that you have not really identified. Is it chronic and/or acute? How long has this been going on, and have you had thoughts in the past week, of harming yourself or other people?

Therapy and medication would help you if that is the case.

not an easy answer... "just get up & do something" seems to be the popular suggestion... but i think that's too easy, it life's problems were that easy to fix, i'd be out of a job! (therapist).

try to figure out what's stoping you, need to self-reflect. i wen through a time like that myself. i was scared of failing, scared of being treated badly in another relationship. got fat, out of shape -- ofcourse, then felt worse.

try to find out what's stoping you, what's blocking you, then go at that first. if you can't do it alone, find someone to talk to.

do some exercise to get out all the negative energy, then when your body is tired sit and meditate on your self, not comparing your self to others but instead focusing on the things you do well.
