Has anyone else noticed that in more and more movies these days, they are showing violace with children. They never used to do that, maybe indicate it, but nw they actually are starting to show it in a variety of movies. I think that is overboard, not necessary, it is sick, not that showing violance against anyone is good, but kids, thats just to far. Has anyone else noticed this? I could see if it was a movie that is a call for help on issues, or like blood diamond, where it was showing reality, but this issue is more and more in movies that aren't for the reasons I listed, but for like a sick shock factor, and in just regular movies, not just horror film. I'm a regular person, I don't enjoy messed up movies, just regular stuff in the theater, but I am noticing this, more and more.

Morals are beig corrupted and Hollywood doesn't care as long as they are making money. I mean some violence can be cool (Rocky) but it doesn't stop there. Nudity is allowed if you are over 13...? i mean come on, i agree with you on this one, movies are being corupted.

Though it is very disturbing and I'm not trying to justify Hollywood's violence towards children in anyway, but the sad truth is that more and more today, violence is being acted out towards kids. What you see in the movies with kids being sexually, physically, verbally, emotionally and mentally abused isn't too far from the sad reality. We may not see or hear about it everyday, but it DOES happen.
In the past, society felt that any violent or sexual act involving a child in movies or on television was taboo and just never talked about it. It's becoming an all too common occurrence nowadays with the society being more and more corrupt with all sorts of pedophiles and violent people out there. It's disgusting that that is happening, but whatever Hollywood feels will sell, they will write up a screenplay, put it into production, and show it nation and even worldwide. It's a sick world we live in and there is nothing we can do about it really, except maybe boycott the movies we know contains violence towards children.

wrong? nothing's wrong.
first of all, it is very easy to see films that have no violence toward children in them. just read the ratings before going.
second, movies reflect what is going on in the world. and, sad to say, there is a lot of that going on in the world today. in the past weeks, i've heard in the news 1) man shot, wife and three children found shot dead in the car 2) exboyfriend enters home and everyone winds up shot to death including three kids and one surviviing kid was found in a vehicle with a gunshot 3) wife comes home to find stepfather and daughter shot to death (note, i'm not stating anything about who did the shootings--this is all still being determined)--i could go on. but this is the world we live in today. you can act like it does not exist, but it is there. it only makes sense that some of the movies being made would reflect some of that.
personally, i don't want to see this type of thing when i go to the show either--of the last films i have paid to see at the show, none of them have exhibited violence toward children. recently i've seen Fantastic Four, Mr. Brooks, Ocean's Thirteen, Waitress, Pirates of the Caribbean (okay, okay, i guess that last movie does have violence toward children but that is one film of five i mentioned). again, i suggest you read the ratings on films before going.
but i think we all need to realize that the reality is, the world of 2007 is not the same one Wally and the Beaver grew up in. i try not to pay for movies that reflect that because i mostly like to escape from reality (and it sounds like you should too) but i know what is going on out here.

Well, it depends on the director, and what they are going for. Generally, if the director decides to show that type of violence on screen, it is for a reason, like they are trying to elicit a specific feeling from the audience. If you see a specific violent act, many times you will be revolted (if it's done right) and when it comes to violence towards a child, you SHOULD be revolted. The old ways of doing that on film don't always work anymore. There will always be people who prefor the old ways, but time moves on.

Well, I haven't noticed it all to much yet, but I have noticed it a bit. In my opinion it's alright when the movies are there to show people that it actually happens but when it's all for ratings then it makes our society look like one sick (and sad) group of people.

it quite is unusual to have somebody pose a question and then provide an answer, fantastically while the respond is erroneous. there's a lot incorrect with the movie industry, yet there are some advantageous issues besides. the obtrusive incorrect is the intense violence and intercourse. The violence is oftentimes "over the precise" and the intercourse demeans women folk. the cheap thrill brings in gross sales, gross sales a methods under video games. you already understand the excellent issues approximately video clips; perhaps you may look returned with regard to the failings.

well for one thing, what kid's movies are you watching?
i saw "shrek" and "surf's up" and there wasnt violence there.
for one thing, Blood Diamond is rated "R", so yeah.
i did see more sex and drugs though, mostly in Shrek3 out of the two.....
but the violence has always been there, theres just more awareness to it, and a lot more of it.......
cant do much, like you said, shock value and things like that
thats Capitalistic America for ya.
