It's hideous! Athena is ok, but Hygieia is really, really awful.

I love the name Athena, but i'm not sure about Hygieia. As far as names of Goddesses, I'd go more for Hindu Goddess Uma (it's a beautiful name, plus Uma Thurman is awesome. I want to name my future daughter Beatrix Uma after the actress and her Kill Bill character). But, as i said, i do love Athena, but i do see where Hygieia is suiting, with you and your mom being Pharmacists. But if you do go for it, i think it would be better as a middle name. I like Athena Hygieia.

Not good, so not good. Hygieia is a really bad name for a beautiful little girl. Athena is different, but in a normal way. Hygieia is too close to hygiene, which can be good or bad hygiene. If you want to name her after something in medicine, find a admirable doctor's name and give her a variant of that.

Yeah Hygieia is pretty awful. I grew up with a girl named Athena, but we all called her Tina. Athena is nice it is not very common.

Great sentinment... but seriously?
Throw away the Greek Mythology... Athena... maybe as a long shot.
Hygieia - please, please please don't call a girl that- or a boy for that matter.
Rethink that whole idea- this is a child who has to go to school, a girl who wants a date for the prom... a woman answering her phone for a job interview...

I appreciate the story, but the name is terrible. Sorry, but you wanted honest answers. This is not a soap opera, it is real life. Give her a name that she can live with, get a job with, etc.... good luck!
