Which could damage their ears. I understand once in awhile but in their vehicles with a stereo bought to play it that loud?! Why would one do that to themself?

they think it's so COOL to blase up their stereo system like that. I find that annoying not cool. To them they think it's cool...just to get attention

When i play loud music in my car is to block out all other noises because i don't want to get distracted by other noises like cars passing by and because it's enjoyable for me, it's the same for when i watch movies at my house with the volume really high

I love both loud and soft volumes, I guess it depends on the music, i can't see myself listening to rock on low volume. I believe music should be enjoyed in all forms. and about the ear thing, its like asking why pple smoke which could damage their lungs.

Either they are trying to deaden the ringing in their ears or they are trying to hear the music over the ringing in their ears!
Either way, the look foolish!
