The pill...referring to 'the morning after pill?" Named Plan B, should be taken immediately within the 72 hours following unprotected sex (so 3 days).
You should wait at least 2 weeks after unprotected sex to use an at home pregnancy test. Use the urine from when you wake up in the morning, it is the most concentrated.
If you are worried the doctor's office can do a blood test to check for pregnancy..just give them a call.

Emergency contraceptive pill is only useful if taken within 72 hours (three days) of the incident.

i think its 4 day or 72 hrs take it quite and get a pregnancy test, dont slip up next time !!!
