if my period comes the 16th next month like it did this month then im screwed because that means that i will have my period during my hawaii vacation. is there anyway i can avoid that and is there anyway you can shorten your period?

Well I do NOT recommend the shot.
There are class action lawsuits against Pfizer for what that shot does to women. I'm appalled its still on the market and being administered. I was on it for four years of HELL. Please check out the links below for more details.

My suggestion is to bring tampons. Buy the slenderest plastic applicator and you will be fine.
There is nothing you can do at this time to delay your period next month.

I get the shot during the summer so I don't have any issues like that. I haven't had any complications with it. And after the 3 months I don't get the shot again until next year so I can give my body some time to have lady time. ( as much as I hate it )

You could go on birth control pills and take two cycles back to back with out using the blanks. While there is no guarentee of not have a period, in general if you don't take the blanks you don't have a period.

none that i would recommend because taking the pill doesnt regulate or minimize periods until up to a year after you start it...just take tampons..*the lightest absorbency you can use without leaking as using higher absorbency's can cause tss *Toxic Shock Syndrom*
