Where can I find old city maps and detailed photographs of major US cities?

For example, I would like to see Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, New York...and more -in the 20's 30's 40's 50's...and so on up to current time.
I would like to view them on the Internet only.

Well, you should check out your local library for detailed maps and photographs. But since you want to view on the Internet only, I'm thinking go to those cities official websites and find picture from there.
