It probably started as an "old wives tale." But think about it, if you hang onto someone too tight you will suffocate them and drive them away. But if you let go and they come back willingly then it would be meant to be, don't you think so?

A MYTH....I let my EX go....he came back and I lived a life of torment...I don't beleive that was meant to be...But maybe...cause I left him and now I have a wonderful man in my life.....

i found it to be true, when i was younger i had a boyfriend and he was always very busy and never had anytime for me so i just stopped talking to him and ignored his calls and about 6 months later he came back to me crying and asked me to marry him and now we have been married for 9 yrs!
