Well it depends on how you feel. Do you think you can handle going bald with dignity? Or could you get it over with, and just shave it off, and be done with it. Dont be ashamed of going bald at a young age. It can happen to the best of us. Just give it some thought, you'll do the right thing.

Male pattern baldness. Thank your mom's side of the family, that's where it comes from. There are treatments, rogaine etc that sometimes work well. At 21, I'd try a few options first. When I was 45, my best friend developed cancer and underwent chemo, losing his hair. At the time, I had grown my hair long, (to my lower back) but I decided to shave it all off to show support for my friend. I liked it so much, I still keep it shaved off. No hassles, just shave it every third day and I'm done.

Go with dignity. My friend started going bald at 15! He just said "Well if I'm going to be bald, I guess I'll be bald."
Now at 22, he is one of those guys who looks great bald!

Shave . It happened to my son about your age I'm 51 and have a long full head of hair and it really ticks him off especially when i call him skin head . He always tells me its not a bald spot its a solar panel for the built in love machine. I'm one of the true old hippies and i don't think our hair was meant to fall out.

Yeah, don't sweat it. Keep what you have really short or shave it altogether. You're fortunate to be living in a time when baldness can actually be a fashion statement. I wouldn't waste time or energy trying to figure out how to get your hair back.

i had grey hair when i was 21. I think how your hair goes is hereditary. Most blokes who are bald go bald before or around when they are 21. It stops them from having silly hair styles. Go bald gracefully. Let it go as and when, then that way you won't notice as it won't be a drastic change!!

I started earlier than you did (about 17) and go for the buzz cut myself. I figure I'll probably start shaving my head within the next few years, though, as it progresses.

No problem.I did too!
I kept it cropped tight for about 15 years and then about 6 years ago I started shaving every other day.
LOVE IT!
Be proud and shave it off.
