how do you get play parts in movies?

Mostly luck certainly not talent from many movies I.ve seen, nepotism seems to play a largre part, sorry for the pun.

Go to open calls when they have auditions

go to acting classes..hang out in diner's in Hollywood...hope to get "found"

Do you mean 'extra'?
Bit part?
Walk-on role?
Speaking role?
Leading role?

look in the wanted adds sometimes they need exstras.
