On an application it asks how much I would like to start off with making. What should I say, I was going to say $7/hour but wasnt sure what minimum wage was.

I can't say negotiable because it has boxes for the dollar and cents.

Don't put an amount, you don't want to put less then what you could possibly make. Always consider your experience, if you have experience then don't necessarily settle for the low starting amount, but on your application, put open if you don't have experience, and if you are unsure put negotiable

Just say "negotiable." This way you're not asking for less than the average employees that work there....

I usually hire people who put "going rate" as a answer for that question.
