Alright, So I'm 14. I play some videogames now and then now that I have my Wii. I played Zelda at my friends house and It's AMAZING. Its so cool. Best game I have ever played. But here's the problem...My mother. My mom is awsome, she's nice. But you see, I've never been able to read Harry Potter or do Halloween, and do any sort of thing with magic in it. I am a Christian, and see her point of views. But this game....man. It has magic in it,yeah. I need a way to get it with her knowing. Need some help on this, not just "Mom I am mature enough to play a game with magic in it." I need a convincing statement. Please respond, Thank you.

UPDATE:

But kissykissybooboo, I pay for everything I get, it's not a matter of me buying it, it's a matter of my mom being convinced for me to play it.

explain to her that you understand that magic isn't real. tell her it's just a game. tell her about how you play this good guy...he's like a knight and you have to save the princess. It's better than you wanting to play grand theft auto. it doesn't have offensive language and it's not overly graphic or violent. it's just like a fairy tale.

Ben, My church is the same way also. But, I am 49 years old. The main thing my church talks about is not to listen to fortune tellers, people who talk with the dead, people who play with black magic or magic for that matter and gambling (these are Satan's tools).
I play Metroid Prime (I am at the last boss on two quests) and Metroid Prime Echoes (it's way harder). I also play Zelda Windwaker ( I am on Ganondorf there also), my next game looks like Twilight Princess. I only have an NES and a Gamecube and I am a computer tech. ( I have thousands of pc games and mass roms).
As for you situation, it is probably best not to buy the game and just play it at your friends house. If that is ok to do so...After all, it is just a game, not gambling or futune telling...
There is an old saying that comes to my mind that goes like this...if you dance with the devil, the devil don't change. So, the moral of the story is...don't dance with the devil...ever...
Good luck, I hope everything works out for you and your Mother...pcr

As far as I know, Link does not use any magic at all in the game. He only can transform into a wolf, but that is all. It is a fantasy game. The only magic you see is at the end when you fight ..........

I see wat u mean...i dont wanna go up to my mom and tell her im mature enough to play a game. Mabey if u offer to pay for the game (the wii games r froggin' expensive) she may think u are mature enough to play it because u r willing to pay for it...and when u go to the store to buy it she may feel bad making u pay for it and she will end ur buying it for u. Then u just got urself and extra 100 dollars.
