Whoever said because of best record is clearly not very educated.
THe team with the best record does NOT always win the world series--look at both NY teams last year. Both were tied for the best record in MLB and both missed the world series.
The first round is a crap shoot (because it is only 5 games vice 7); and after that anyone could win...you just have to hot at the right time (again with last year, the cardinals only 83 games during the regular season and got hot just at the right time)...
But it is way too early to tell for sure.
But I can promise one thing:
The yankees and whiney sux will NOT BE THERE!!!

The New York Yankees. Like 'em or hate 'em, you know their whole team is an all star team. They have pitching, fielding, and batting. The Yankees are 3.5 games back from being in the #1 spot on the wildcard. When you think World Series, you think Yankees. They will face the Padres.

Boston Red Sox
1. Best offense when they're all on (not slumping), both contact and power.
2. Best rotation when healthy, and they get the run support if they're not at their very best.
3. Deep bullpen and best closer in the game.
4. Speed around the bases with Lugo, Coco, and Cora.
5. Defense, aside from Lugo, have the best infield. Coco's solid in Center, Manny makes A LOT of assists, and Drew can cover some ground in Right.

the detroit tigers..
came close last year just were not as hot as the damn cardinals..
but their offense and their defense are on fire..
and yes the bullpen is having problems but rogers is going to be back this week most likely and zumya will be back soon and hopefully rodney shapes up we will be unstopable once agaiN!

The Red Sox because they have the best record in MLB and I think they'll beat any team that they face, but they will have a few problems but they'll get by it and because they have the best pitchers in MLB baseball even there nobody pitchers rock

Boston Red Socks, due to one word "pitching" gotta love what their bullpen is doing this year, and those starters yikes good luck to anyone facing them in a best of seven... i dont think i need to mention their o lineup....
