Slate is VERY expensive $100.00 per tile. I would definitelty speak to the cable company. Call someone get a free estimate and present that to the cable compny with photos of the damage. (The esimator will likely take these for you). Businesses have insurance for a reason, I would suggest asking first , a better business bureau threat second, a report third and finally small claims court. I hardly think an attorney is necessary.

Why go strait to the lawyer bit this is the business that i have been in fro 27 years. Call the cable company and file a complaint changes are that the person that came to you house was a contractor the Cable company will make them fix it

Call the cable company and say "my lawyer says that your installer damaged my slate on my roof, and s/he needs to know when your contractor will by by to repair it."

how long ago was it? call the cable company and tell them that he broke it and that they have to fix it
